We’re an independently owned and operated Kingswell company, and the crew we send into Houston homes is the reason our phone rings. These aren’t subcontractors we met last week. They’re background-checked, uniformed technicians who train to IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards and run Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry equipment every single day. What unites them is simpler than any mission statement: they hate watching a small leak become a big claim, and they’d rather tell you the truth about what needs fixing than sell you something you don’t.
Restoration work we handle

Our People
Marcus T. – Lead Water Damage Technician
Marcus has spent 14 years in water damage restoration across Houston, and he’s seen what a Gulf Coast summer does to slab foundations and drywall. He holds IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration and Applied Structural Drying, and he runs our psychrometric drying plans, which means he tracks RH (relative humidity, basically how much moisture the air is holding) and adjusts equipment until the readings prove the structure is actually dry, not just feeling dry. Marcus is the guy who can walk into a flooded house in Katy or a burst-pipe kitchen in the Heights and tell you within ten minutes how many days of drying it’ll take. He keeps a moisture meter on his belt the way other people keep a phone. On weekends he restores old furniture, which explains why he treats every piece of wood trim in your house like it belongs to him.
Dana R. – Senior Mold Remediation Specialist
Dana has been with remediation crews for 11 years and was one of the first in our Houston shop to earn mold remediation certification through IICRC. Her specialty is containment: setting up negative air pressure and sealing off the affected area so mold spores don’t drift through the house while we work. Before Dryden, Dana worked on commercial losses, so she brings a level of process discipline that homeowners notice immediately. She’s the one who shows up with a written scope and walks you through it before a single sheet of drywall comes down. Dana lives in Pearland with two rescue dogs who have never once helped with a containment setup, though they’d like to try. She’s blunt about the one thing every Houston homeowner should hear: if you smell must after a leak, waiting makes the fix more expensive, not less.
Ray O. – Service Coordinator & First Voice on the Phone
Ray is the calm voice you get when you call (254) 277-4577 at 2 a.m. with water coming through the ceiling. He’s been dispatching restoration crews in Houston for 9 years and keeps a mental map of the city that includes traffic, flood patterns, and which neighborhoods are closest to our shop. Ray’s job is to get a committed arrival window into your hands quickly, because a written window is part of The Kingswell Way. He’s careful about scoping over the phone, so don’t be surprised if he asks for photos or a FaceTime look at the damage before sending a crew; it helps us arrive with the right equipment the first time. Ray is originally from San Antonio and still refers to Houston summers as “the price you pay for good barbecue.”
Javier L. – Equipment & Drying Systems Apprentice
Javier joined us two years ago as an apprentice and is working toward his IICRC water restoration certification under Marcus. He handles the logistics of our drying fleet: PHOENIX and Dri-Eaz air movers, XPOWER and B-Air units, and our Injectidry systems for pulling moisture out of wall cavities and hardwood floors. Javier sets up and breaks down jobs, monitors daily moisture readings, and keeps the equipment clean, which matters more than you’d think in this business. He grew up in the East End and takes pride in working the same neighborhoods where he went to school. If you see a young guy in a Dryden uniform carefully photographing equipment placement for our documentation file, that’s Javier. He’s the reason you’ll get a photo-documented assessment along with your written scope.
One Standard, Every Job
The Kingswell Way isn’t a plaque on the wall. It’s five rules we actually follow, and Carl expects every person above to live them on every call. Say the price before the work, not after the drywall is open. Show up in the window we gave you, because a homeowner staring at a wet floor deserves a real arrival time. Leave the place cleaner than we found it, which means shoe covers, floor protection, and a pass with a vacuum before we pack out. Put the guarantee in writing: every repair is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise, and if a covered repair fails inside a full year, we come back and correct it at no charge. Come back if it fails. No fine print, no runaround. Every technician in the Houston shop is background-checked, uniformed, and held to the same IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards, whether it’s their first month or their fifteenth year.
